Overview
Sales and purchasing staff often need to know what price was used the last time they dealt with the same partner for the same product. This module records that previous price and its date as a snapshot on every sale and purchase order line. The value is looked up from the partner's posted invoices or bills, converted to the line currency and unit of measure, and is not erased when the document is confirmed. It plugs into Sales, Purchase and Accounting and speeds up quotation and negotiation.
Usage steps
- 1
Open a quotation or purchase order
Create or open a sale quotation or a purchase order and choose the partner. The extra columns appear on the order lines. No configuration is needed.
- Works on Sales and Purchase
- No settings
- 2
Add a product to a line
When you pick a product the system searches the partner's posted customer invoices (for sales) or vendor bills (for purchases) in the same company. It takes the latest line for that commercial partner, ignoring the current document. Lines added by the product catalog are filled too.
- Latest posted invoice line
- Ignores current document
- Catalog lines supported
- 3
Read the previous price and date
The line shows the last sales price and date on sale orders, or the last purchase price and date on purchase orders. The price is net of discount and converted to the line currency and unit. Use it to quote consistently or spot price changes.
- x_last_sales_price / date
- x_last_purchase_price / date
- Net of discount

Keep the snapshot after confirming
The value is written when the line is created or its product changes, and by nothing else. Confirming, invoicing or billing the document never erases it. Changing the partner on the order refreshes the lines.
- Snapshot not computed
- Refresh on partner change
