POS Hide Invoicing

Some shops never issue customer invoices from the cashier screen. This module adds one setting to each Point of Sale configuration that hides the Invoice option on the payment screen. Because the rule belongs to the configuration and not to the user, every cashier on that register behaves the same. The server also refuses to invoice orders from such a POS, so the rule cannot be bypassed.

   Open the POS settings

   The administrator opens Point of Sale settings and selects the POS configuration to edit. The new option appears among the configuration settings. It is stored on the POS configuration record. Different registers can have different values.

   Tick the hide invoice option

   The administrator ticks the hide invoice button option and saves. No further configuration is needed. The change applies at the next POS session load. Untick it to restore the standard behaviour.

   The cashier no longer sees Invoice

   In the POS screen the Invoice option on the payment screen is hidden by a small script for that configuration. The cashier completes payment as usual without the ability to choose invoicing. Other POS configurations are unaffected. No user-level permission is involved.

   Server-side protection

   When orders are synchronized, the server checks the session's POS configuration and forces the to-invoice flag to false if invoicing is hidden. This closes the gap left by editing the screen alone. Orders are saved as ordinary POS orders. The module does not touch receipts, QR codes or loader data.
