Overview
Retail counters sell to walk-in buyers under one generic cash customer, so the real buyer is lost from reports and refunds. This module keeps the single accounting cash customer but records a buyer identity, name and phone, as a validated snapshot on sale orders and invoices. Phone numbers are normalised with Egyptian and Saudi formats supported, and refunds preserve the source identity. It plugs into Sales and Accounting and is used by cashiers, salespeople and accountants.
Usage steps
- 1
Select the accounting cash customer
In the sales/accounting settings choose the existing cash customer. It must be an active, top-level customer shared or belonging to the company. It cannot be removed while buyer identities use it.

Manage buyer identities
Open Cash Customer Identities to see people by name and phone. Use Create and Edit to enter both name and phone; a name alone or an invalid phone is refused. Buttons open the sales and invoices of an identity.

Sell to a cash customer
On a sale order for the cash customer pick the buyer identity. The name and phone must identify the same person, and company and customer must match. The identity is snapshotted on the document.

Invoice and refund
Confirming the order carries the identity to the invoice. Refunds and credit notes must preserve the source identity, and snapshot links cannot be edited by hand. Access to identities requires the Cash Identity User group.
