POS Cashier Select

In busy shops several employees share one POS terminal, and it is often unclear who actually handled a sale. This module forces the employee to be chosen every time the Payment button is pressed. It works inside the Point of Sale interface and relies on the employees list (with security PIN) that Odoo POS already loads. Cashiers, supervisors and shop owners benefit because every order is tied to the person who closed it.

   Add products to the order

   In the Point of Sale screen the cashier scans or taps products to build the order as usual. Nothing changes in the normal selling flow until payment is requested. The module only hooks into the numpad Payment button.

   Press Payment

   When the cashier clicks the Payment button on the numpad, the module intercepts the click and opens a selection popup titled Select User. The list is built from every employee loaded in the POS session.

   Select the employee

   The cashier picks their name from the popup. If the employee has a security PIN, the system then asks for the password before accepting the choice.

   • Pick own name
   • Enter PIN if one is configured
   • Cancel rejects the action

   Employee becomes the active user

   After a valid PIN the chosen employee is stored as the current POS employee and the username widget in the header is redrawn. The payment screen then continues with that employee attached to the order.

   • Header shows the chosen employee
   • Order is attributed to that person
   • Repeats for the next payment
