Overview
Cost and profit analysis per shop is difficult when POS entries carry no analytic account. This module adds an analytic account to each point of sale and passes it to the orders and sessions. It connects Point of Sale with Accounting analytics. Accountants can then report income per branch or cash desk.
Usage steps
- 1
Open the POS configuration
The administrator opens Point of Sale > Configuration > Point of Sale and selects a shop. The form has a new field for the analytic account.
- Requires Point of Sale settings access
- One account per POS
- 2
Choose the analytic account
The user selects an analytic account, for example one per branch, and saves the configuration.
- Field: Analytic Account
- Can be changed later
- 3
Orders carry the account
When a session and its orders are created the analytic account is copied from the configuration. It is visible on the POS order form.
- Copied to pos.session
- Copied to pos.order
- Visible on the order form
- 4
Journal entries are analysed
When the session is closed the accounting entries receive the analytic account so income appears in analytic reports.
