IP Limitation

Some companies want to know from which network addresses each user may work. This module adds a validated IP address record and a many2many IP field on the user form. It extends Settings > Users and requires no other app. Administrators keep a clean register of permitted addresses per user.

   Create IP address records

   The administrator creates res.ip records from the dedicated menu, one per address. The name is the address itself.

   Address validation

   A constraint uses the ipaddress library and raises Invalid IP Address if the text is not a valid IPv4 or IPv6 address.

   Open a user

   In Settings > Users & Companies > Users the administrator opens the user form where the IP field was added.

   Link allowed addresses

   The field IP Address (ip_ids) accepts several addresses through tags. The selection is saved with the user.
