Odoo Customize and Boost

Administrators often need many small tweaks: rebrand the system, hide menus, reset test data, or manage module lists. This module gathers them in one settings page with a user menu improvement, module tools and data cleaning buttons. It works on top of base, web and mail through the common core module. It helps administrators and implementers prepare and maintain an instance quickly.

   Open the customize settings

   Under Settings the administrator opens the added section with options such as System Name, Show Quick Language Switcher, Show Quick Debug and Show Documentation.

   Rebrand the interface

   Templates replace the login layout, page title and copyright text so the system shows the chosen name instead of the default brand.

   Improve the user menu

   The user menu is patched to add language switching, developer mode, assets debugging, documentation, support and refresh page entries.

   Manage modules and addons paths

   A new Addons Path model groups modules by folder with a kanban view and count. The module list gains filters such as Local updatable and group by addons path, and multi uninstall or refresh translation actions.

   Inspect technical data

   List views for external identifiers and model fields are improved with extra search filters such as No Updatable and Top Menu for menus.

   Reset transactional data

   Buttons with confirmation delete all sales orders, POS orders, purchases, expenses, manufacturing orders, inventory moves, invoices, projects and quality data. Groups control who may see them.

   Show environment ribbon and digest

   A web environment ribbon backend reports the environment label and digest mail template data is customised.
