POS Hide Refund Button

Refunds in a point of sale are sensitive because they reduce revenue. This module adds two switches to the POS configuration: hide the refund button, and keep it enabled for managers. It patches the RefundButton component of the POS interface. Shop owners reduce the chance of unauthorised refunds.

   Open POS settings

   The administrator opens the POS configuration form or Settings > Point of Sale for the shop.

   Hide the refund button

   The option Hide Refund Button removes the refund control from the ticket screen for cashiers.

   Keep it for managers

   The option Enable Refund Button For Manager keeps the button available to users with the manager right.

   Cashier experience

   In the POS the refund button is not shown, or only shown to managers according to the settings, while normal sales are unchanged.

   • No effect on sales
   • Refunds handled by managers
