POS Receipt Design

Shops want receipts that match their needs, not only the default template. This module lets the administrator store receipt layouts as XML records and assign one to each point of sale. It adds a Receipt Designs menu under Point of Sale configuration and a switch in the POS settings. Each shop prints its own receipt without programming.

   Open Receipt Designs

   Under Point of Sale > Configuration the user opens Receipt Designs and sees the list of saved layouts.

   Write the receipt layout

   A new pos.receipt record has a Name and a Receipt XML text field where the QWeb layout is pasted or edited.

   Assign it to a POS

   In the POS configuration the user ticks Is Custom Receipt and picks the Receipt Design. The XML is copied through a related field.

   Print the custom receipt

   When the POS loads, the receipt component uses the design XML from the config instead of the default template. The cashier prints as usual.

   • Overrides OrderReceipt
   • Falls back to default when off
