Overview
Cashiers must remember to tick the Invoice button on each order, and the invoice then opens for printing after payment. This module adds two settings on the POS configuration: automatic invoicing and disabling of the automatic invoice print. It is used by shop owners and POS managers. It plugs into the Point of Sale payment screen and the accounting invoice. The benefit is consistent invoicing and a faster checkout without unwanted print dialogs.
Usage steps
- 1
Open POS settings
The manager opens Point of Sale settings and selects the shop configuration. The module adds two checkboxes to this settings screen. They apply per shop.
- Screen: POS settings
- Options are per shop configuration
- 2
Enable automatic invoicing
Ticking Allow POS Auto Invoice Print makes every new order start with the invoice option already selected. The payment screen sets the order to invoice when it opens and refreshes. Cashiers no longer need to press the Invoice button.
- Setting: Allow POS Auto Invoice Print
- Order flagged as invoice on the payment screen
- 3
Disable automatic invoice printing
Ticking Disable POS Auto Invoice Print stops the invoice document from opening after payment validation. The order is still saved and the invoice is still created. Staff can print it later from the accounting screen.
- Setting: Disable POS Auto Invoice Print
- Invoice is still created
- Print later from accounting
- 4
Finalize the sale
On validation the order is pushed to the server, the cash drawer opens for cash payments and the receipt flow continues. The customer gets the normal receipt while the invoice follows the two settings. The result is a quicker end of sale.
- Order saved to server
- Cash drawer opens on cash payment
- Receipt printed as usual
