Overview
Salespeople need to know what a customer paid last time before quoting. This module adds the previous order, previous price and previous date next to the unit price on each sale order line. It is used by sales teams inside the Sales app. The system finds the latest confirmed line of the same customer and product. The benefit is consistent pricing and faster negotiation.
Usage steps
- 1
Create a quotation
The salesperson creates a quotation for a customer in the Sales app and adds product lines. As soon as the product is chosen the module searches history. No setup is needed.
- Screen: Sales order form
- No configuration needed
- 2
Find the last matching line
For each line the system searches the same customer and product among orders in Sales Order or Locked state, newest first, and keeps one line. The result is stored so it can be shown quickly. It depends on product and customer only.
- Only confirmed or locked orders
- Newest first, one match
- Stored compute on the line
- 3
Read the previous values
Three read-only columns appear after Unit Price: Previous Order Reference, Previous Sale Price and Previous Sale Date. The user compares the previous price to the current one. Empty values mean the customer never bought that product.
- Columns: previous order, price, date
- Empty = first purchase
- 4
Decide the price
The salesperson keeps or changes the unit price, then confirms the order in the usual way. The module never changes prices by itself. It is an information aid for the decision.
- Price stays under user control
- Confirm as usual
