POS Hide Product Info

The POS shows an Info button on each product tile that some shops prefer to hide from cashiers. This module adds a Hide Product Info option to the POS settings. It is used by shop managers and works inside the Point of Sale app. When the option is on, the POS product screen no longer offers the info popup. The benefit is a cleaner screen and less exposure of product data.

   Open POS settings

   The manager opens Point of Sale settings and selects the shop. The new option is found with the shop interface options. It is stored per shop configuration.

   Tick Hide Product Info

   The manager ticks Hide Product Info and saves. The setting is written to the POS configuration through the related settings field. Shops without the tick keep the standard behaviour.

   POS product screen adapts

   When the POS loads, the product screen script reads the shop setting. If it is on, the Info button on tiles is not shown. The customised template replaces the standard tile markup.

   Cashier works with a cleaner screen

   Cashiers add products by tapping tiles as before. The info popup is no longer reachable from the tile. Turning the option off restores the button immediately after reload.
