Sales and Purchase History Suite

Sales and purchasing staff often need to see what was bought or sold before, and at what price. This suite adds four features: customer sales order history, vendor purchase order history, product sale price history and product purchase price history. It plugs into the Sales and Purchase apps and the product form, with settings on the company. Users can reorder lines from earlier orders. The benefit is faster order entry and better price decisions.

   Configure the history settings

   In the settings the administrator sets, for each feature, the number of last orders or items to keep, whether reorder is enabled, the number of days and which stages count. Price history has an item limit and a record basis selection. The values are stored on the company.

   • Fields: Last No. of Orders, Enable Reorder, Days, Stages

   Manage the order stages

   Menus Sale Order Stages and Purchase Order Stages list editable stage records with sequence, name, stage key and colour. Default stages are loaded from data. Settings pick which stages appear in the history.

   Customer order history on the sale order

   On a sale order an Order History tab lists earlier lines of the same customer with order, date, product, pricelist, price, new price, quantity, unit, discount, subtotal and status. The user can reorder a single line or use All Lines Reorder. Multi-company rules restrict the stages and history.

   Vendor order history on the purchase order

   The purchase order gets the same history for the vendor with purchase order, date, product, price, quantity, unit, subtotal and status. The user reorders one line or all lines into the current order. It speeds up repeat purchasing.

   Product price history

   The product form gets Sales Price History and Purchase Price History tabs. Sales rows show customer, sales person, order, date, variant, quantity, price and total. Purchase rows show supplier, purchase order, date, variant, quantity, price and total, limited by the configured item count.
