POS Spa and Salon Management

Salons and spas sell services that must be booked in advance and assigned to a staff member. This module adds bookings with lines, appointee teams, working shifts and a booking list inside the POS screen. It plugs into Point of Sale, POS Employees and Employees. The benefit is one screen to book, check in, check out and convert the appointment into a paid order.

   Enable booking on the POS

   In the POS configuration the manager ticks Allow Create Booking. The same form holds the default Appointee Team and the allowed teams. Only then are booking buttons shown in the till.

   Create appointee teams

   A team has a name, a Team Lead and its members from Employees. The team also carries the appointment duration in minutes. Teams are stored on appointee.team.

   Define shifts

   Teams can allow shifts by linking a Time Shift with a start and end time. The system computes the start, end and whether it is a night shift. This limits the time slots offered for booking.

   Create a booking from the till

   The cashier selects a team with the Select Team button, picks a customer and appointee and adds service lines. The booking stores Start and End date, pricelist, taxes and totals. Its state starts as New.

   Check in and check out

   On the day the booking is marked Check In and later Check Out. The booking list button in the POS shows all bookings for the session. A missing pricelist raises an error.

   Convert to a POS order

   When paid, the booking creates a pos.order and stores it in Order Ref. The order also records the booking reference and the appointee. State changes to Done or Cancelled.
