Field Time Picker

Typing a time as free text leads to inconsistent formats. This module registers a timepicker field widget that shows a clock-style picker. It is a web asset module that plugs into any form view through the widget attribute. The benefit is faster, cleaner time entry on Char fields.

   Register the widget

   After installation the widget is added to the fields registry under the name timepicker. It is an OWL component with its own template. No menu is added.

   Apply it to a Char field

   A developer sets widget="timepicker" on a Char field in a view. The widget works only with Char fields. On another field type a warning explains the limitation.

   Pick a time

   The user clicks the field and a time picker popup appears. Hours and minutes are chosen with arrows. The selection is written back as text.

   Save the record

   The time string is saved with the record like any Char value. Reports and search treat it as normal text. Formats stay consistent across users.
