AI Chat Assistant Integration

Teams want quick answers inside Odoo without switching to another site. This module creates a dedicated channel and bot user in Discuss and sends the messages to an external language model through its web API, with no extra Python package. Settings hold the API key, the model and the temperature. The benefit is an AI assistant that lives in the same chat as the team.

   Enter the API key

   An administrator opens the settings and types the API Key in the AI integration block. It is stored as a system parameter through config_parameter. Without a key the assistant cannot answer.

   Choose the model

   The settings offer a Model selection loaded from chatgpt.model records. The module ships two models as data and a default is preselected. Administrators can add more model names.

   Set the temperature

   A Temperature selection from 0.1 to 1.0 controls how creative the answers are. Values are records of chatgpt.tempreture. Lower values give more predictable answers.

   Open the assistant channel

   Installation creates a channel named after the assistant and a partner and user for the bot. Users find it in Discuss like any other channel. The module extends discuss.channel to handle the bot.

   Ask and read the answer

   A user posts a question in the channel and the module sends it to the external service using the saved key, model and temperature. The reply is posted back as a message from the bot. No extra library is installed.
