Hotel Management System

A small hotel needs to know which rooms are free and to sell them through normal sales orders. This module models room types as products with amenities and capacity, tracks room state and bookings, and links each booking to a sale order. It plugs into Sales and Mail. The benefit is a simple reservation flow with a dashboard of bookings.

   Define room types

   Room Types are product templates flagged Is room with Max allowed person and an amenity list. Demo types are Single, Double and Deluxe Room. The Room Information page shows amenities and the Room List page lists rooms.

   Manage amenities

   Amenities such as Single Bed, Double Bed and King Size Bed are records with a name and description. They are attached to room types through amenity lines. Chatter tracks the changes.

   Manage rooms

   Rooms such as Room 101 belong to a room type and have a state. Kanban cards offer Set to available, Book, Check In and Check Out buttons. The form has Set to Maintenance and a Bookings smart button.

   Create a booking

   A booking has Customer, Check In, Check Out, rooms and guest lines. Book Now confirms it. Validations reject past dates, a check-in later than check-out or a room not available on the date.

   • Duration computed in days

   Check in and check out

   Check In is allowed only when the date has come and Check Out closes the stay. Cancel is available until checkout. Filters show Currently Booked, Checked In and Checked Out.

   • Buttons: Check In, Check Out, Cancel

   Sell through sales orders

   Order lines carry a Duration in days and the sale order shows a Room Booking smart button. The booking links to its sale order and the quotation report is extended. Invoice lines also keep the duration.
