Overview
Every Odoo page shows a default tab title and icon, which weakens brand recognition for internal users and portal visitors. This module injects a custom favicon and title into the shared web layout template so that every backend and website page uses them. It depends only on the web app, needs no configuration screen, and works for all users of the database. The main benefit is a consistent, branded browser tab with zero daily effort.
Usage steps
- 1
Install the module
From the Apps menu, install the module on the database. The installation loads the layout template that overrides the default favicon link. No further setup wizard is shown. The change applies to all pages served after installation.
- Depends only on the web module
- No configuration required

Favicon replaces the default
The template extending the web layout adds the custom favicon into the page head. A small script in the assets bundle applies the icon and title in the backend client. Users see the new icon in the browser tab and bookmarks.
- Template favicon_icon extends the web layout
- Script static/src/js/favicon.js in assets

Custom title shown in tabs
The browser tab title is set by the script instead of the stock title. Backend screens and website pages both show the branded text. Users can distinguish the Odoo tab among many open tabs.

Demo company data
The module ships demo data for a sample company with name, address and logo. This is only loaded when demo data is enabled. It lets testers check the branding without touching real records.
