Mail Management Client

Administrators normally review outgoing mail from technical lists that are hard to browse. This module adds an Odoo Mail client action with folders, search, message view, attachments and a compose window. Mail records gain starred and active flags so messages can be starred, archived, restored, deleted or retried. It depends on Mail and Calendar and gives support users a familiar mailbox.

   Open the Odoo Mail menu

   Press the Odoo Mail root menu to open the client action. A side panel lists the folders with counts from the mail count method. The list shows the messages of the selected folder.

   Read a message

   Click a message to open the body view with sender, recipients and date. Attachments show in a list. Opening also marks the message as read in the interface.

   Star and archive

   Use the star button to flag a message and the archive button to hide it from the main list. Archived messages have their own folder and can be restored. Bulk actions work on checked messages.

   Retry a failed mail

   Select a failed outgoing mail and use Retry to put it back in the queue. The sent folder lists delivered messages. Delete removes messages you no longer need.

   Compose a new mail

   Press Compose to open the minimisable window. Fill recipients, subject and body and add files. Sending queues the message through the mail model.

   Set a custom mail icon

   In settings enable Custom Mail Logo and upload an icon. The mail icon model stores it and the default is restored when disabled. The icon shows in the client.
