POS Booking Orders

Shops often take orders now for pickup or delivery later. This module adds a Book Order button to the POS with a popup for customer, phone, address, pickup and delivery dates, and notes. Booked orders are saved in a separate model with a sequence and appear in a Booked Orders screen where they can be confirmed. It depends on Point of Sale and is enabled per POS configuration.

   Enable booking

   In the POS configuration tick Enable Book Orders. The option loads the buttons into the session. Other shops stay unchanged.

   Prepare the cart

   The cashier adds products to an order as usual. Then presses the Book Order button. A popup opens.

   Enter booking details

   In the popup choose the customer, phone, address, pickup or delivery mode and dates, and add an order note. The pricelist and fiscal position come from the order. Amount total is shown.

   • Fields: Customer, Contact no, Delivery Address

   Booking is saved

   The booking is created in the book order model with a reference from the sequence and lines. Taxes and totals are computed. The POS order is linked by a unique id.

   • Statuses: New, Confirmed

   Review booked orders

   Press the Booked Orders button to open the dedicated screen listing bookings with customer, dates, address and total. The back office also has list and form views. Filters help find a booking.

   Confirm and print

   Press Confirm to change the booking to Confirmed. The order receipt includes booking data. The ticket screen also shows booked orders.
