POS Employee Pricelists

Letting every cashier pick any pricelist can expose special or wholesale prices. This module adds an allowed-pricelists field to each employee and enforces it in the POS. Cashiers with an assignment only see and use those pricelists, both when choosing manually and when a customer with another pricelist is selected. It is used by managers to assign lists and by cashiers at the counter, and plugs into Point of Sale, Employees and POS employee login.

   Assign pricelists to an employee

   Open Employees, edit the employee and go to the HR Settings tab. Before the PIN field a Pricelists field accepts several values as tags. Pick the lists the employee may use in the POS.

   Load into the POS

   The POS session loads the pricelist field with the employee data. The system knows the assigned lists for the cashier who is logged in through the employee login.

   Automatic pricelist on a new order

   When an order is created or the cashier changes, the current pricelist is checked. If it is not among the allowed lists, the first allowed pricelist is applied automatically.

   Customer selection

   When a customer is set on the order, his own pricelist is normally applied. The module intercepts this and, if that pricelist is not allowed for the cashier, replaces it with an allowed one.

   • Customer pricelist is validated

   Manual pricelist selection

   The pricelist button in the POS opens a selection popup. For cashiers the popup lists only their assigned pricelists, while managers still see all pricelists.
