Block Negative Transfers

Negative stock breaks valuation and hides real shortages. This module checks every completed stock move and refuses any that leaves a storable product below zero at an internal location. The error names the products and locations, so warehouse staff know what to fix. A dedicated group can be exempted. It plugs into Inventory and a base blocking module.

   Validate a transfer

   A warehouse user validates a receipt, delivery or internal transfer. The standard validation runs first and moves are done.

   • Any picking type
   • Standard flow first

   Check internal locations

   For each move line whose source is an internal location and whose product is storable, the module reads the quantity on hand for that location and lot.

   • Storable products only
   • Per location and lot

   Block on negative quantity

   If the quantity is below zero the move is refused with a user error listing each location and its short products.

   • Nothing is posted

   Exempt group

   Users in the Allow Negative Sale group of the base module skip the check and can move stock as before.
