Inventory Stock Ledger

Auditing what happened to a product needs a chronological ledger. This module provides a wizard that selects a period, product, location and companies and then builds a ledger of movements with running balance. It is used by inventory controllers and accountants and plugs into Inventory, Purchase and Sales so each line links to its picking and order. The result can be printed as a PDF.

   Open the options wizard

   From the Stock Ledger Report menu a popup wizard opens asking for the report options.

   Choose the filters

   Fill Start Date, End Date, Product, Location and Companies. All are required and companies default to the active ones.

   • Start and End Date
   • Product and Location
   • Companies

   Generate the ledger

   Press View to build the ledger records for the selection and open them in a list.

   • Button: View
   • Creates ledger lines

   Read the lines

   The list shows Move Date, Picking, Reference Order, Purchase and Sale order, Description, Unit Price, In, Out and Balance.

   • In and Out quantities
   • Running Balance
   • Links to picking and orders

   Unit price visibility

   The unit price column is restricted to the system administrator group, so cost information stays hidden from normal users.

   Print the PDF

   Press Print PDF to produce the Stock Ledger Report through the QWeb report action.
