Printable View Settings

Downloading a PDF and opening it every time slows down office work. This module adds settings that make chosen reports open for viewing or bring up the print dialog automatically. Administrators define the list of report names the behaviour applies to. It is used by all users who print documents and plugs into the general settings.

   Open the general settings

   Go to Settings and find the printing options added by the module in the general settings page.

   Enable automatic view

   Tick Allow to Automatically View Reports so that reports open in the browser instead of downloading.

   • Param: report.auto_view
   • Default off

   Enable automatic print

   Tick Automatically Popup the print wizard so the browser print dialog appears when the PDF opens.

   • Param: report.auto_print
   • Default off

   Select report names

   Enter the technical names of the reports the behaviour should apply to in the Report Names field.

   • Param: report.report_names
   • Comma-separated list

   Run a report

   Print any listed report. The PDF opens in the tab and the print dialog appears if enabled.

   • No download step
   • Works for listed reports only
