Retention Products
Data module that installs the Retention and Downpayment products.
Overview
The retention feature needs two service-like products to carry the withheld and advance amounts on invoice lines. This data-only module creates them so no manual setup is needed. It has no screens of its own. It is installed by administrators together with the retention module and plugs into the product catalogue of Accounting and Sales.

Install with the retention module
Install this module from Apps alongside the retention module. It depends on product data only.

A product named Retention is created with zero cost and zero sales price, typed as consumable.

Downpayment product
A product named Downpayment is created the same way and is used for advance payment lines on invoices.

Use on invoice lines
The retention module picks these products automatically when adding withheld or advance lines, so accountants find them in the product list if needed.
