Scheduled Action Shortcut

Running an Odoo scheduled action by hand normally means opening Settings in technical mode and finding the action. This module adds a toggle on each scheduled action and a systray icon that lists the chosen actions so they can be run with one click. Administrators and support staff use it to trigger jobs such as syncs or clean-ups on demand. It extends the ir.cron model of the base framework. The benefit is faster operations without leaving the current screen.

   Mark an action for the systray

   In the scheduled action form the administrator turns on the Run Through Systray toggle. This flags the action as a shortcut. Only flagged actions appear in the systray list.

   Open the systray shortcut list

   A new icon in the top bar opens a dropdown that lists the flagged scheduled actions. The list is loaded when the user opens it. Users see only actions they are permitted to read.

   Run an action on demand

   The user clicks an action name and the system runs that scheduled job immediately, outside its normal schedule. A notification confirms the trigger. The regular schedule is not changed.

   Maintain the shortcut list

   Administrators can turn the toggle off on any action to remove it from the list. This keeps the dropdown short and focused on the jobs that are really run by hand.
