Approval Notification Preference

Approval workflows generate notifications that some users prefer by email and others inside Odoo. This module adds an approval notification type on the user, two approval groups, and an Approvals menu root. It is a base for approval modules that read the preference. Administrators and approvers use it.

   Choose the notification type

   In the user preferences select Handle by Emails or Handle in Odoo. The field is required and defaults to email.

   Approval user group

   The Approval - User group is created for ordinary approvers. Modules can grant it to people who take part in approvals.

   Approval admin group

   The Approval - Admin group is for managing approval configuration. Assign it to responsible administrators.

   Approvals menu

   A root Approvals menu is added for dependent modules to attach their screens. It provides a common entry point.
