Export Product Images

Teams that need the product photos outside Odoo, for a supplier, marketplace or backup, otherwise download images one by one. This module adds an "Export Images" action to the product and variant lists that opens a wizard. The user picks which image types to include and how to name the files. The result is a ZIP with the images and an Excel index, stored as attachments. It plugs into Sales/Inventory products and eCommerce media, and is used by catalogue and marketing staff.

   Select products or variants

   Open the Products or Product Variants list and tick the records to export. The action must be launched from one of these lists with records selected, otherwise the wizard shows an error. Unsupported models are refused.

   Open the export wizard

   From Actions choose "Export Images". The wizard opens showing the options before running. Nothing is exported until the user presses Export.

   Choose image types

   Tick template main image, variant main image, other media (attachments) and eCommerce media. Each type is an independent switch. This decides the content of the ZIP.

   Choose the naming options

   "Prefer SKU / Default Code" names files by the internal reference, and a further option adds variant attributes to the name. Files are therefore easy to match with the catalogue. Use stable references for predictable names.

   Run the export

   Press Export; the system builds the ZIP and an Excel index and stores them as attachments. The wizard then moves to a done state. "Put Excel inside ZIP" controls whether the index is bundled or separate.

   Download the results

   In the done state the ZIP and Excel attachments are shown as links to download. Close ends the wizard. The attachments remain on the wizard record.
