Overview
Training on and photographing the construction contracting module needs a realistic company with projects at every stage. This companion module builds that scenario at installation time on top of the construction module: customers, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, a materials and services catalogue, rate analyses, equipment, site staff and 150 projects with WBS, BOQ, work orders and budgets. It also seeds the document layer such as certificates, claims and RFIs. It is for test and demo databases only, never production, and is used by trainers and implementers.
Usage steps
- 1
Install on a test database only
Install the module on a pristine test or demo database that already has the construction module. Uninstalling does not remove generated records, so drop the database to go back. A demo coverage note and load-issues note document what was seeded.
- Post-init builder
- Drop DB to reset
- Coverage note

Company and accounting are wired
The builder re-brands the default company, loads a generic chart of accounts if missing, activates USD and SAR with a rate, and sets construction journal, WIP, revenue, cost, retention and wages accounts. This lets construction documents post. Nothing of a real company is used.

- WIP and revenue accounts
- Retention and wages accounts

Partners and catalogue are created
It creates 50 customers, 20 consultants, 25 subcontractors and 25 suppliers across three countries, plus 75 materials and 50 services in real units. Fiscal-position profiles are cycled across customers. Rate analyses across eight trades and 30 equipment units follow.

150 projects are generated
Projects are spread across study, tendering, awarded, under execution and substantially complete stages. Each has a three-level WBS, a priced BOQ, work orders per phase and an approved budget baseline. Executed quantities match the stage so BOQ and work order figures agree.

Document layer is seeded
Certificates, subcontracts, variation orders, retention, claims, guarantees, RFIs, submittals, transmittals, site instructions, correspondence, minutes, NCRs, snags, permits, measurement books, risks and payment requests are created. Payment requests include an approval-threshold configuration. Trainers can then demonstrate every screen.
