Sales Order Lock on Delivery

With the auto-lock setting on, Odoo locks a sales order right after confirmation, even though goods are still to be delivered, which blocks needed corrections. This module changes the timing so the order stays editable until a delivery is actually validated. It extends Sales and Inventory, logs the lock in the chatter and works for warehouse users who have no sales access. Sales staff can fix an order until goods leave the warehouse, and the order is frozen afterwards.

   Keep the order unlocked after confirmation

   The standard rule that decides whether an order should be locked is overridden. If the order has any delivery that is not cancelled, it is not locked at confirmation. The salesperson can still correct lines and terms.

   Validate the delivery

   The warehouse user validates the delivery picking as usual. When the picking is done the module looks at moves that go to or come from a customer location. Only actual customer deliveries or returns trigger the lock.

   Find the related sales orders

   The system collects the sale orders from the picking, its references and its move lines. Only orders in the confirmed sale state that are not yet locked are kept. This handles deliveries that cover several orders.

   Lock and log

   Each selected order is locked with the standard lock action and a message is posted in its chatter naming the delivery. The lock runs with elevated rights so a warehouse user without sales access can validate without an error. Only the affected orders are touched.
