Invoice Shortcuts in Sales and Purchase

Sales and purchasing users often need to look up invoices and bills but the entry lives in the Accounting app they may not open. This module adds an Invoices menu inside Sales and a Bills menu inside Purchase that open the same accounting lists. The menus are shown only to users who already have invoicing rights. Reference lookups become quicker without granting anyone new access.

   Invoices menu in Sales

   Inside the Sales app a new Invoices menu is added. It opens the customer invoices list from Accounting. The user does not have to switch apps.

   • Menu: Invoices under Sales
   • Opens customer invoices
   • No app switch

   Bills menu in Purchase

   Inside the Purchase app a Bills menu is added. It opens the vendor bills list from Accounting. Buyers can check what has been billed for their orders.

   • Menu: Bills under Purchase
   • Opens vendor bills
   • Same list as Accounting

   Visibility follows accounting rights

   The menus are tied to the invoicing security group. Users without that group do not see the menus at all. No access rights are granted by the module.

   • Shown only with invoicing group

   Work from the shortcut

   From the opened list the user can filter, search, open and print invoices exactly as in Accounting. Actions available depend on the user's accounting rights. Returning to the Sales or Purchase menu is one click away.
