Emergency Account Demo Data

This companion module loads a small demo scenario so the emergency-account visibility feature can be tried without setting anything up by hand. It creates a demo viewer user, a demo document with chatter messages and an activity from the emergency account, and a contact created by that account. It depends on the security-user module and is for test databases only. Uninstalling removes the demo records but never the emergency account itself.

   Install on a test database

   The tester installs the demo module on a test database only. The data loads as ordinary module data, so it works even on databases created without Odoo demo data. The security-user module must already be present.

   Demo viewer user is created

   A demo user with ordinary rights is created to look at the system as a normal person would. Signing in as this user shows that the emergency account is not listed. This user is the observer in the test.

   Demo document with messages and an activity

   A demo document is created with chatter messages and an activity that come from the emergency account. The tester opens it as the viewer and sees the neutral name as the author. The document opens with no access error.

   Demo contact created by the account

   A contact created by the emergency account demonstrates that contacts follow the same hiding rules in searches and selectors. The tester tries to find it in the contact selector. It should not appear in discovery but remains readable directly.

   Uninstall the demo

   When testing is finished the demo module is uninstalled. This removes the demo user, document and contact. It never removes the emergency account.
