Overview

When goods arrive or leave exactly as ordered, warehouse users still retype the quantity on every line. This module adds a Set Quantity button to the transfer form that copies the demand into the processed quantity for all open lines. It uses the same write path as a manual edit, so reservations and quants update as Odoo normally does, and it never validates the transfer. Data entry becomes faster and less error-prone.

Usage steps

  1. 1

    Open a transfer

The warehouse user opens a receipt, delivery or internal transfer that is not yet done. The button appears in the transfer form header. Nothing changes until the button is pressed.

    • Works on open transfers
    • Button in the form header
    • No automatic change
  2. 2

    Press Set Quantity

Pressing the button walks through the moves of the transfer that are not done or cancelled. For each move it takes the demand and applies it as the processed quantity. The transfer state stays as it was.

    • Button: تعيين الكمية
    • Skips done and cancelled moves
    • State is not changed
  3. 3

    Moves without lines get lines

If a move has no detailed line and the demand is positive, a move line is created with the demand quantity. This mirrors what a user would do manually. Reservation logic of Odoo handles the rest.

    • Creates the missing move line
    • Only for positive demand
    • Uses Odoo's prepared values
  4. 4

    Single line quantities are aligned

When a move has exactly one line whose quantity differs from the demand, the quantity is written to match. The write goes through the normal quantity field so quants and reservations are updated. Differences below the unit precision are ignored.

    • Normal quantity write path
    • Quants and reservations follow
    • Tiny differences ignored
  5. 5

    Multiple lines are left alone

If a move has several lines, for example different lots or packages, the module does not guess how to split the quantity. Those lines keep the values entered manually. The user then reviews and validates as usual.

    • Lots and packages untouched
    • No guessed distribution
    • Manual review then Validate
