Vehicle Workshop Demo Data

This add-on fills a database with ready-made Arabic sample records for the vehicle workshop application. It is meant for trainers, evaluators and testers who want to see the workflow without typing master data first. It creates records through builders for the master data and the operations, and depends on Employees, Inventory and Products besides the workshop itself. The benefit is a realistic environment in minutes; it has no screens of its own and should not be installed in a live production database.

   Install after the workshop application

   The administrator installs this add-on from Apps once the vehicle workshop application is present. The dependencies on Employees, Inventory and Products are pulled in automatically. It is not an application and has no menu of its own. Installation triggers a post-install hook.

   Build master data

   The post-install hook runs the master data builder to create sample brands, models, workshops, stations, employees and products in Arabic. The records are created with fixed references so the operations builder can link to them. Nothing is asked from the user during this step. It is safe to run on a test database only.

   Build sample operations

   The operations builder then creates vehicles, work orders and related records that use the master data. Work orders appear in different statuses so the board and reports show meaningful content. The result is visible immediately in the workshop menus. No user input is required.

   Explore the workshop with the samples

   The user opens the Vehicle Workshop menu and walks through work orders, vehicles, follow-ups and reports using the samples. Trainers can demonstrate each status button and printout. The samples can be edited freely while learning. Uninstalling the add-on does not automatically clean the data, so use a disposable database.
