Website Contact Only

Some businesses want to show products online without selling or quoting prices. This module lets the website administrator switch a shop to contact-only mode per website, so visitors browse products but are directed to the contact page. It extends the eCommerce app templates for the shop grid, filters and product page, and adds a setting for showing full product images. The benefit is a catalogue that generates enquiries instead of online orders.

   Open the website settings

   The administrator opens Website settings and finds the contact-only options in the shop section. The choices are stored on the website record, so each website in a multi-website setup can behave differently. No new menu is created. Saving the settings applies them immediately to the storefront.

   Hide product prices

   Ticking the hide prices option removes the price from the shop grid, the price filter in the shop options and the product detail page. Visitors still see names, images and descriptions. The setting applies only to the selected website. Backend prices and sale orders are unchanged.

   Replace Add to Cart with Contact Us

   With the replace option on, the primary Add to Cart button on product tiles and on the product page is hidden and a Contact Us button appears in its place. The button takes the visitor to the site contact page. This prevents online ordering while keeping a clear call to action.

   Show full product images

   A third option shows product images in full instead of cropping them, using the module stylesheet in the frontend assets. It helps catalogues whose photos have varied proportions. It can be enabled independently of the other two options. Check the shop on desktop and mobile after enabling it.
