Purchase Order Line Image

Documents with pictures are easier to check and to approve. This small module adds a 128-pixel product image to each line of the purchase order report. It extends the Purchase app and needs no configuration or new screens. Users simply print the document as usual.

   Install the module

   The administrator installs the module from Apps. It depends only on the Purchase app. No menu, setting or group is added. The report template is extended automatically.

   Give products an image

   Products need an image on their form, as usual. The line takes the image from the product through a related 128-pixel field on the order line. Products without an image show an empty cell. No extra data entry is required.

   Prepare the document

   The user creates or opens the purchase order and adds lines as usual. Nothing changes in the form. The image field is available on the line model for reports. Lines with notes or sections behave as before.

   Print and check the report

   Printing the document shows the product image at 128 pixels on each line in the PDF. The report layout is inherited, so headings, totals and taxes stay standard. The image helps the recipient identify the item. Sending by email uses the same PDF.
