School Attendance

This module adds attendance tracking to the School Management app. Teachers fill an attendance sheet for a class and month, and parents or staff can raise student leave requests that go through an approval flow. It plugs into the school module's students, classes, academic years and teachers. Reports summarise attendance by month and by student. The benefit is accurate attendance records and less paper follow-up.

   Create an attendance sheet

   In the Attendance menu the teacher creates a sheet by choosing the class, month, academic year and faculty member. The sheet is created for the selected class and its students are listed as lines. The attendance type can be daily or monthly.

   Mark daily presence

   Each line carries the roll number, student name and one tick box per day of the month. The teacher ticks the days the student attended. The percentage of attendance is computed automatically per student.

   Raise a student leave request

   In the leave request form the user picks the student, class, start and end date and writes the reason; an attachment can be added. The number of days is computed. Dates must be consistent and overlapping requests for the same student are refused.

   Approve or reject the request

   The request moves through Draft, To Approve, Approved and Rejected states, with chatter on the record. Once approved or rejected, the request cannot be deleted. The class teacher is recorded on the request.

   Print monthly attendance reports

   The monthly attendance wizard produces a PDF report for a class and month, and a separate report shows attendance by student. Both use dedicated paper formats. Administrators use them for parent meetings and audits.
