Overview
This module lets purchasing teams send requests for quotation to several vendors and collect their prices through the Odoo portal. Buyers create a vendor RFQ with a product, quantity and closing date, invite registered vendors, compare the quotes and turn the winning one into a purchase quotation. Vendors log in to the portal to submit their price and delivery date. It plugs into Purchase, Portal and Email. The benefit is a transparent, paperless tendering process.
Usage steps
- 1
Register vendors for the portal
On the partner form a Register Vendor smart button opens a wizard that creates a portal user for the vendor and can send a password-reset link. An email address is required or a validation error is shown. Registered vendors get an Is Registered Vendor flag and a filter in the Vendors menu.

Create a vendor RFQ
Under Vendor Portal > Vendor Quotations the buyer creates an RFQ with product, quantity, UoM, estimated quote, delivery date, closing date and a set of vendors. The reference comes from a sequence. Chatter and activities are available.
