Overview
This module builds on the Agreements app to create full legal documents from sections, clauses, recitals and appendices. Each agreement moves through stages from New to Active, Expired or Terminated, can be created from templates by a wizard and printed as a PDF. It uses the agreement types and subtypes and can auto-remind reviewers. It is used by legal teams, sales and procurement. The benefit is standard, versioned contracts with a clear approval path.
Usage steps
- 1
Configure types, subtypes and stages
The configuration menus hold agreement types, subtypes and stages. Default stages are New, Draft, Reviewed, Negotiation, Out for Customer Signature, Waiting Internal Signature, Active, Expired, Terminated and Cancelled. Stages can be folded and set read-only.

Write the clauses and sections
Users create reusable sections and clauses with title, sequence and rich content. Content can include dynamic fields chosen from a model and a default value. The title shows in the PDF while the name is internal.

Create an agreement from a template
The Create Agreement wizard asks for a title and builds a new agreement from a chosen template, copying sections and clauses. The new agreement gets a code from a sequence. It starts in the New stage.

Move through review and signature
The agreement form shows a stage bar and tracks Reviewed By and Approved By. The user drags the agreement through Draft, Reviewed, Negotiation and signature stages. Lines and readonly rules follow the stage.

Reminders and expiry
A scheduled action checks review dates and creates activities for the reviewer set on the type, with the note that the agreement is going to end soon. Expired agreements are identified by end date. This avoids missed renewals.
