Overview
Automatic reconciliation can post matches without a human checking them, which some finance teams do not accept. This module forces all reconcile models to stay manual. On installation a hook clears the auto-reconcile, auto-validate and partner-matching flags on existing models and stops reconciliation-related scheduled actions. Afterwards any model that is created or edited has those flags forced off. It plugs into Accounting and protects the reconciliation workflow for accountants.
Usage steps
- 1
Install the module
Install it from Apps. It has no menu or screen of its own. The post-install hook runs once and applies the change.
- No screens
- Runs a post-install hook
- 2
Existing models are switched to manual
The hook searches every reconcile model and switches off auto-reconcile, auto-validate and partner matching where those fields exist. It also deactivates scheduled actions whose name mentions reconcile. The result is that nothing reconciles by itself.
- auto_reconcile off
- auto_validate off
- match_partner off

New models cannot enable automation
When a user creates a reconcile model, the create override forces the three flags to false even if ticked. The same is applied on every write. Users see the option but it does not stick.

Reconcile manually as usual
Accountants continue to match lines from the reconciliation screens by their own action. Nothing else in Accounting changes. Uninstalling stops the enforcement but does not restore the old flags.
- Manual matching only
- Uninstall does not restore flags
