Overview
In a multi-company group, a payment or expense booked in one company usually has a counterpart that the other company must record, and doing it by hand causes omissions and mismatches. This module defines transfer configurations between a source and a target company and automatically prepares mirror entries in the target company. The counterpart accountant reviews each mirror, approving or rejecting it with a reason. Bank statement validation and journal entries can both trigger the mirroring. It plugs into Accounting and is used by group accountants and administrators.
Usage steps
- 1
Open the intercompany settings
From Accounting settings open the intercompany configuration through its button, or use the Intercompany Transactions menu. Configurations are managed by the accounting administrators. Each configuration belongs to a source and a target company.

- Menu Intercompany Transactions

Create a transfer configuration
Choose the source company and a different target company, then set the default treasury or bank journal, which must belong to the target company. Extra treasury accounts must be available to the source. The system rejects identical companies or journals from the wrong company.

Define counterpart lines and conditions
Add counterpart lines with account, partner and amount type; percentage or fixed lines need an amount above zero. Content rules and conditions on product, template or category decide when a rule applies. A tax map translates source taxes into target taxes and refuses duplicates.

Link partners to companies
On the partner form the "Between companies" tab links a partner to the company it represents. A partner cannot represent the company it is linked to. This lets mirrors find the first and second party.

Post the source entry or validate the bank line
When a qualifying journal entry is posted or a bank statement line is validated, the module creates an intercompany transaction with mirror entries for the target company. Source entries with approved mirrors cannot be reset to draft. Missing partner or receivable accounts stop the process with a clear message.

Review the mirror in the target company
Open Intercompany Transactions > "Waiting for my review". The mirror lines can be approved or rejected one by one or in bulk for the ready lines. Approval is blocked if the target period is locked or the account belongs to another company.
- Approve / Reject
- Bulk approve ready lines
- Period lock check

Reject with a reason
The reject wizard requires a reason and records it on the transaction; administrators are notified with full details. A rejected mirror is listed in the Rejected menu and no target entry is left posted. The source accountant can then correct and retry.

Follow up with the dashboard and report
The menu offers a dashboard, all transactions, awaiting review, fully approved and rejected lists. A report wizard prints transactions between dates and companies and warns if nothing matches. Smart buttons jump from a move to its source or intercompany transaction.
