Overview
To learn how much a contact owes or is owed, users normally open several reports. This module adds an account summary to the contact form showing, for the customer side, the vendor side and the net, the totals, returns, paid, credit and due amounts. It also shows counts of invoices and overdue invoices with links, and the last invoice and last payment. It plugs into Contacts and Accounting and helps salespeople, purchasers and accountants before a call or a credit decision.
Usage steps
- 1
Open a contact
Open Contacts or any customer or vendor form. The account summary section appears on the form for users with accounting access. It is computed live from posted entries.

- 2
Read the customer side
See total invoiced, returns (credit notes), paid, credit and due for the customer side. Overdue amounts consider the due date against today. Amounts are shown in the contact currency.
- osl_cust_total / return / paid
- osl_cust_credit / due
- 3
Read the vendor and net sides
The same set of figures is shown for the vendor side and as a net summary combining both. This helps for partners that are both customer and vendor. The net due shows the true position.

Jump to invoices and overdue items
The invoice count and overdue count have View links that open the corresponding invoices. The overdue list contains open items past their due date. This saves building filters.

Check the last invoice and payment
The last invoice and the last payment are shown with amounts and can be opened. Use them to confirm recent activity before a call. Nothing is stored, so data always matches accounting.
