MENA Overtime Engine

Overtime rules differ by country, time of day and rest days, and standard Odoo does not ship them for the Gulf and Egypt. This module adds work entry types and country overtime rulesets for Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar with rules for daytime, nighttime, rest day and holiday overtime. It also handles automatic check-out and repairs truncated check-outs. It extends Odoo Attendances, Time Off and Payroll attendance so overtime flows to payslips.

   Review the country rulesets

   Open the overtime rulesets to see the seeded sets for Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait and Qatar and their rules.

   Understand the time bands

   Rules split overtime into weekday daytime, nighttime, rest day and public holiday bands, each with its own rate.

   Assign a ruleset

   Assign the right ruleset to the company or employee so attendance hours outside the schedule are classified automatically.

   Work entry types for payroll

   The module provides work entry types for each overtime category so payroll can pay them at the correct rate.

   Auto check-out

   A scheduled job closes attendances that were left open so hours are not lost or inflated.

   Repair truncated check-outs

   Repair actions fix or delete truncated check-outs created by auto check-out, restoring correct overtime.
