Secure QR on Business Documents

Printed invoices and delivery slips can be forged or altered, and recipients cannot verify them. This module puts a secure QR block on Odoo business documents so that anyone who scans it lands on a protected page that either shows the original PDF after a password or only confirms the document is genuine. It builds on the Secure QR core and plugs into Accounting, Inventory, Sales and Purchase. A company chooses per document type whether it is off, password-to-view, or verify-only, and when the link is issued.

   Enable a mode per document type

   In the settings, section Business documents, the administrator handles customer invoices, vendor bills, delivery orders, receipts, sale orders and purchase orders. For each one the mode is Off, Password shows the PDF, or Verify only. Nothing changes for a type left off.

   Choose when the link is issued

   A company setting Issue the link decides the trigger, for example on print or on posting or validation. Password source decides whether the password is generated or comes from the partner. The link is issued only when the document is in a ready state.

   Post or validate the document

   When an invoice is posted or a delivery or receipt is validated, the module can create the secure link automatically. The document gets a secure serial number. The user does not need to do anything extra.

   Issue the QR manually

   On the invoice or picking form a button Issue secure QR creates the link on demand. It is useful for documents that were posted before the feature was enabled. The same document keeps one active link.

   QR block on the printed PDF

   When the report is rendered the PDF engine adds the QR block and serial to the invoice or delivery slip. The password is printed on the document when the company policy says so. Quotations and orders use the same block.

   Recipient scans and verifies

   Whoever scans the code reaches the public secure page served by the core module. Depending on the mode the page asks for the password and shows the PDF, or shows a verified status only. Access is logged and rate limited by the core policy.
